Andriy Bohdanovych Grechylo (b. 1963, Lviv) is a Ukrainian historian, Doctor of Historical Sciences, and a leading research fellow at the Lviv Branch of the M. Hrushevsky Institute of Ukrainian Archaeography and Source Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He is a specialist in the auxiliary historical disciplines — heraldry, vexillology (the study of flags), and emblematics; co-founder and longtime head of the Ukrainian Heraldry Society, and a member of the International Academy of Heraldry (2023). He is one of the scholars whose late-1980s publications helped revive Ukraine’s national symbols.
