Svitlana Vizer is a Ukrainian historian and a researcher of the history of the church in the 15th–17th centuries. The subject of her dissertation was the role of the Orthodox and Uniate churches in the national liberation movement of 1596–1686 (from the Union of Brest to the resubordination of the Kyiv Metropolis to the Moscow Patriarchate).
