On Rus' and Ukraine (Foundations of Ethnopolitics) (25.10.2022)
A street dialogue between Vitaliy Dribnytsia and a Russian-speaking interlocutor who repeats the thesis “Ukraine is a Bolshevik project of 1922.” Dribnytsia refutes it primarily by pointing out that the UNR and the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917–1921 existed earlier than any Soviet “project” — that is, Ukrainian statehood preceded the Ukrainian SSR. (Most of the conversation is taken up by an ethnopolitical discussion of modern nations, already covered in the article “Is the Ukrainian Nation ‘Artificial’?”, so it is not duplicated here.) A source for the analysis of the myth “the Bolsheviks created Ukraine.”
