Vitaliy Dribnytsya

Vitaliy Dribnytsya is a Ukrainian historian and publicist, the author and host of the YouTube channel “Vox Veritatis.” He conducts video debates with Russian-speaking opponents on historical topics, systematically dismantling Soviet and contemporary Russian historical myths.

It is his video debates that form the basis of this encyclopedia: Vox Veritatis is an unofficial compilation that organizes the channel’s materials and references primary sources. Authorship of the videos belongs to Dribnytsya; the site merely systematizes them and ties claims to timestamps.

Method

Dribnytsya draws on contemporary academic historiography (Ukrainian, Western, and partly pre-Soviet Russian) and primary documents — laws, treaties, memoirs, and statistical data. In debates he consistently invites his interlocutor to verify facts against specific sources in real time.
